Ants on a log is a no-cook snack of celery, peanut butter and raisins. The name comes from the raisins lined up on the celery like insects on a branch. The hollow of the stalk holds the peanut butter neatly, and the cool, watery crunch of celery balances the rich spread and the chewy sweetness of the fruit. It takes about a minute, which suits children. Check for peanut allergies before serving.

Instructions

Cut the celery stalks into pieces about 4 to 5 inches (10-13 cm) long. These pieces are the logs.

Spread peanut butter along the hollow of each celery piece, filling it from end to end.

Press raisins into the peanut butter in a row or scattered across the top. These are the ants. Serve right away.
