Balsamic Marinade
This balsamic marinade comes together in a single zip-top bag with five pantry ingredients. Sweet, tangy balsamic vinegar balances the rich, buttery olive oil, while two tablespoons of cayenne bring a steady, noticeable heat. Black pepper and salt round it out. Because everything is mixed and used in the same bag, there is no bowl to wash, and it suits meat, fish or vegetables alike.
Instructions
Measure the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, cayenne pepper and black pepper into a gallon-size zip-top bag.
Seal the bag and shake or squeeze it until the oil and vinegar are mixed and the spices are spread through the liquid.
Open the bag, add the meat, fish or vegetables you want to marinate, and seal it again, pressing out the extra air.
Marinate the food the way you normally would for that ingredient, turning the bag now and then so the liquid reaches every surface.
Make it personal.
