Balsamic Vinaigrette Salad Dressing
A balsamic vinaigrette that takes two minutes and a whisk. The recipe leans on the quality of just two things, so it pays to use a good aged Italian balsamic and a fruity Italian olive oil. The dark, slightly sweet vinegar softens the oil, and salt and pepper finish it. A little minced garlic is there if you want more bite. Keep it simple and let the vinegar show.
Instructions
Measure the balsamic vinegar and olive oil into a bowl or a jar large enough to hold them with room to spare.
Add the pinch of salt and a few grinds of black pepper. If you want a sharper edge, stir in the minced garlic as well.
Whisk with a wire whisk until the oil and vinegar are well combined and the dressing looks evenly blended. Taste it, adjust the salt or pepper if needed, and pour it over your salad.
Make it personal.
