Barbecue Sauce II
This barbecue sauce needs only three ingredients and no real cooking, so it comes together in the time it takes to measure. Molasses gives the ketchup a dark, bittersweet depth, and a small amount of liquid smoke stands in for hours over a fire. Stir it in a pot, then warm leftover roast pork or chicken in it for a quick sticky supper.
Instructions
Measure the ketchup and molasses into a pot. Add the liquid smoke flavoring.
Stir until the mixture is a single even color with no streaks of molasses left at the bottom of the pot.
To serve, add some pre-cooked meat to the pot. Heat the sauce and meat together until the meat is warmed through and coated in sauce.
Make it personal.
