California Fusion Peach Salsa
This peach salsa takes a familiar fruit salsa in an Asian direction, and it comes together in five minutes from pantry staples. Five spice powder and white pepper add warmth, garlic chili sauce brings the heat, and lime juice keeps the sweet canned peaches from tasting flat. It works as a dip with tortilla chips or as a topping for meat. For a more California version, use fresh peaches.
Instructions
Drain the canned peaches well and chop them into small pieces. Slice the green onions thinly, using both the white and green parts, and chop the cilantro.
Put the peaches, green onions, and cilantro in a bowl. Add the lime juice, garlic chili sauce, five spice powder, and white pepper.
Toss everything together until the peaches are evenly coated and the seasonings are well distributed.
Chill the salsa in the refrigerator before serving so the flavors have time to blend.
Serve it with tortilla chips, or spoon it over meat dishes as a garnish.
Make it personal.
