Dalgona Coffee (달고나 커피)

Dalgona coffee is a South Korean drink of whipped instant coffee spooned over milk. It needs only three pantry ingredients, and the trick is in the whipping: equal parts coffee, sugar and warm water turn into a thick, glossy foam that holds its shape on top of the glass. The name comes from dalgona, a Korean honeycomb candy with a similar color and sweetness. A hand mixer makes it quick.
Instructions
Put the instant coffee and sugar together in a mixing bowl.
Add the warm water a little at a time while whipping with a hand mixer. The mixture is ready when it has turned into a thick, pale, creamy foam.
If you have no hand mixer, whisk the mixture by hand for up to 400 strokes. It will take longer and tire your arm, but it gets to the same result.
Pour milk into a cup and add ice cubes if you want a cold drink. For a hot coffee, skip the ice and use hot milk instead.
Spoon the whipped coffee cream on top of the milk and serve. Stir the cream into the milk as you drink.
Make it personal.
