Frito Pie (No-Bake) is a bowl of hot chili poured over corn chips and finished with cheese, sour cream, and pickled jalapeños. The oven never comes on, so the only cooking is the chili itself. The salty, crisp Fritos soften at the edges but keep some bite, while Monterrey Jack melts into the surface. It is an easy way to serve eight people from one pot at a casual get-together.

Instructions

Make sure the Frito Pie Chili is hot before you start, since the bowls are assembled cold and the chili is the only source of heat. Set out 8 shallow bowls.

Place a handful of Fritos in each bowl, spreading them so they cover the bottom.

Spoon the hot chili over the chips, dividing it evenly among the bowls. Serve soon after, while the chips still have some crunch.

Top each bowl with grated Monterrey Jack, a spoonful of sour cream, and a few jalapeños from the jar. The cheese should soften slightly from the heat of the chili.
