Garlic and Tarragon Dressing
This is a sharp, sweet-edged vinaigrette made from five pantry staples and mixed in one jar. Garlic salt seasons and flavors the dressing in a single step, while dried tarragon adds a faint anise note that suits crisp lettuce and shredded cabbage. The sugar is optional, so you can soften the vinegar or leave it out. Shake it in a lidded jar and keep any extra to use again.
Instructions
Put the vinegar, olive oil, garlic salt, sugar and dried tarragon into a small bowl, or into a jar that has a tight-fitting lid.
If you are using a bowl, whisk until the sugar and salt have dissolved and the oil is mixed through. If you are using a jar, close the lid firmly and shake it well.
Pour the dressing over lettuce or cabbage salads and toss so the leaves are lightly coated.
Make it personal.
