Grape Lassi
Grape lassi is a cold, tangy yogurt drink that takes about fifteen minutes and one blender. Black grapes give it a deep purple color and a fruity sweetness, while thick Indian curd keeps it creamy and slightly sour. A little salt sits against the sugar and sharpens the fruit, a habit borrowed from salted lassi. Pouring it over crushed ice keeps each glass cold to the last sip.
Instructions
Put the black grapes, sugar, curd, milk and salt into a blender. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and evenly purple, with no pieces of grape skin visible.
Crush the ice cubes and divide them into four equal portions. Put one portion into each of four glasses.
Pour the blended lassi over the crushed ice, dividing it evenly among the glasses. Serve right away while it is cold.
Make it personal.
