Hazelnut Cream Soda
Hazelnut cream soda shows how little it takes to make a soda at home: a flavored syrup, some heavy cream and a bottle of seltzer. The ratio is simple to remember, two parts syrup, one part cream, two parts seltzer, so you can scale it to a single glass or a pitcher. The cream softens the bubbles and gives the nutty syrup a smooth, rounded finish.
Instructions
Measure the hazelnut syrup, heavy cream and seltzer water using the same container for each, so the amounts stay in proportion: two parts syrup, one part cream and two parts seltzer.
Pour the syrup and cream into a tall glass, then add the seltzer and stir gently until the mixture looks evenly pale and the cream has blended in.
Fill a second glass with ice and pour the soda over it. Serve right away while it is cold and still fizzing.
Make it personal.
