Hot Peach Drink
A hot peach drink made from a single bottle of peach juice, brown sugar and two cinnamon sticks, ready in about 15 minutes. The brown sugar adds a faint molasses depth that plain white sugar would not, and the cinnamon steeps in the pot while it heats. It serves six, so it suits a cold evening with guests. Peach schnapps is optional, which lets you keep it alcohol free.
Instructions
Pour the peach drink into a Dutch oven. Add the brown sugar and the two cinnamon sticks.
Set the pot over heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring now and then so the brown sugar dissolves.
Take the pot off the heat and lift out the cinnamon sticks, then discard them.
Stir in the peach schnapps if you want an alcoholic version, or leave it out for a drink everyone can have.
Ladle into mugs and set a fresh cinnamon stick in each one if you like.
