Marshmallow Rice Squares
Marshmallow rice squares need only two ingredients and a microwave, which makes them an easy first recipe for a beginner. The marshmallows melt into a sticky binder that holds the crisp puffed cereal together as it cools. Buttering the pan keeps the squares from sticking, and cutting them while the mixture is still warm gives cleaner edges. Cooking time depends on your microwave's power, so check the bowl as it heats.
Instructions
Put the mini marshmallows and the puffed cereal together in a microwaveable bowl.
Microwave the bowl for 1 to 2 minutes, using the shorter time for a powerful machine and the longer one for a weaker machine. The marshmallows should be puffed up and soft when you take the bowl out.
Stir well so the melted marshmallow coats all of the cereal. Press the mixture into a buttered baking pan or dish.
Cut it into squares and leave them to cool and set before serving.
Make it personal.
