Mint tea needs only two things, a handful of mint and hot water, and it works with either dried or fresh leaves, so you can make it from whatever is in the cupboard or the garden. The strong brew in the pot is meant to be cut with more water in the cup. Even when the liquid looks pale and clear, the mint flavor holds up, which makes this a very forgiving drink.

Instructions

Fill a kettle with water and bring it to a boil.

Pour the boiling water into a teapot to fill it.

Add the mint leaves to the teapot, either dried or fresh. Leave them to steep for several minutes, until the water has taken on the color and scent of the mint.

Pour some of the hot tea into a cup and top it up with extra water to dilute it. The tea may look nearly clear after diluting, but the mint taste will still come through.
