Nesquik à la Café is a two-minute hot chocolate with a coffeehouse feel, made from three pantry staples and hot water. The powdered creamer is what sets it apart, giving the drink a rounder, milkier body than chocolate powder and water would manage alone. Because you add the water yourself, you decide how thick it is. It suits a breakfast table, and it also works poured over ice.

Instructions

Put the drink powder, powdered creamer and sugar in a glass or cup.

Pour in hot water a little at a time, stirring as you go, until the drink reaches the thickness you like.

For an iced version, use about three quarters of a cup of hot water to dissolve the powders, then add about a quarter cup of cold water and drop in ice cubes.
