Rooibos tea is a caffeine-free red infusion made from the leaves of a shrub grown in South Africa's Western Cape. Brewed from a plain teabag, it has a smooth, slightly sweet and woody taste that needs very little help. Here it gets just a teaspoon of brown sugar and a teaspoon of milk, which add a soft caramel note without hiding the tea. It takes minutes to make.

Instructions

Pour water into a kettle and bring it to a boil.

Place a rooibos teabag in a cup and pour the hot water over it.

Stir in 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, then 1 teaspoon of milk, either fresh or powdered.

Serve the tea hot.
