Russian Tea
Russian Tea is a dry spiced tea mix that turns into a hot cup with nothing more than a spoonful and some hot water. Despite the name, this is a Tang-based American pantry recipe, not a Russian one. Orange powder, sugar and instant tea carry the sweetness, while cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg give it a warm, spiced edge. Mix a big jar once and it keeps for many cups.
Instructions
Put the orange drink mix, sugar, instant tea, cinnamon, cloves, mixed spices and nutmeg in a large bowl.
Stir and toss the powders together until the spices are evenly spread and no streaks of color remain.
Spoon the mix into an airtight container and seal it for storage.
To serve, stir 2 to 3 teaspoons of the mix into 1 cup of hot water until it dissolves.
Make it personal.
