Seasoned Salt II is a two-minute spice blend that turns a pantry shelf of half-used jars into one shaker of all-purpose seasoning. The base of salt, pepper, paprika, mustard, garlic and onion is fixed, while the long list of extras is whatever you happen to own, so every batch tastes a little different. A small pinch of sugar or bouillon powder rounds out the savory edge nicely.

Instructions

Measure the salt, black pepper, paprika, dry mustard, oregano, dehydrated garlic, dehydrated onion, celery seed and parsley into a clean, dry bowl.

Add the optional spices in their two groups: ½ tsp each of whichever of the thyme, turmeric, cumin, marjoram, cayenne and rosemary you have, and ¼ tsp each of whichever of the white pepper, chili powder, curry powder, coriander, dill weed, caraway, asafoetida, sugar and bouillon powder you have.

Stir everything together until the color is even and no pockets of plain salt remain. Spoon the mix into an airtight jar and close the lid.
