Self-Rising Flour
Self-rising flour is plain flour with baking powder and salt already mixed in, and you can make it at home in a minute. That is handy when a recipe calls for it and your supermarket shelf is empty, or when you would rather not buy a bag that only gets used occasionally. The ratio here is small enough to scale up, and it keeps well in a sealed container.
Instructions
Put the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Stir or whisk them together until the baking powder and salt are evenly spread through the flour, with no pockets of either.
Transfer the mixture to an air-tight container. Keep it in a cool, dry place until you need it.
When you use it in place of all-purpose flour in another recipe, cut back the salt in that recipe, because this blend already contains salt.
Make it personal.
