Sesame Ginger Marinade

This sesame ginger marinade comes together in a single mason jar with no cooking at all. Dark brown sugar softens the salt of the soy sauce, while a heavy hand of fresh ginger and garlic gives it real bite. A small amount of sesame oil and toasted seeds adds a nutty finish. It works on pork or shortribs, doubles as a sauce, and keeps for two weeks in the fridge.
Instructions
Measure the soy sauce, dark brown sugar, sesame oil, toasted sesame seeds, minced ginger and minced garlic into an 8-ounce mason jar.
Screw the lid on tightly and shake the jar hard until the brown sugar has dissolved and the mixture looks smooth.
Use it right away as a marinade or a sauce for pork or shortribs. Keep any leftovers in the jar in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Make it personal.
