Sesame Milk
Sesame milk is a dairy-free drink made from just four pantry ingredients and a blender. Tahini does the work that soaked nuts usually do, so there is no soaking, straining or nut milk bag. A small pinch of salt or splash of soy sauce rounds out the nutty, slightly bitter sesame, while a teaspoon of maple syrup keeps it gently sweet. It keeps for several days in the fridge.
Instructions
Put the tahini, maple syrup, salt or soy sauce and water into a blender jar. There is no need to mix them first.
Blend the mixture until it is completely smooth and an even pale cream color, with no streaks of tahini left at the bottom.
Pour the milk into a jar or bottle and chill it in the refrigerator for several hours.
The milk may settle as it sits, so stir it well before serving. Keep any leftovers refrigerated and use them within 4 to 5 days.
Make it personal.
