White Russian Cocktail

A White Russian is a three-ingredient cocktail that takes about a minute to build and needs no shaker. Vodka gives it backbone, coffee liqueur adds roasted sweetness, and cream rounds the edges into something smooth and rich. Heavy cream makes a thicker, more dessert-like glass, while milk keeps it lighter. Swap in Irish cream for a blind Russian, or oat or almond milk to leave out dairy.

Instructions

Fill a glass with ice, using enough to chill the drink well so it stays cold as you sip.

Pour in the vodka first, then add the coffee liqueur over it.

Finish by pouring the heavy cream or milk slowly over the top. Stir gently until the cream has blended in and the drink looks an even, pale brown.
