Choco-Nutty Pie is a chocolate chip and nut pie that comes together in one bowl with no mixer. The batter is little more than melted butter, sugar, eggs and flour, so the work is done once the chips and nuts go in. Use whichever nuts you have on hand, since pecans, walnuts or almonds all suit it. It bakes into a rich, chewy filling in a plain pastry shell.

Instructions

Heat the oven to 350°F. Put the melted and cooled butter, sugar, lightly beaten eggs and flour in a large bowl and mix until the batter is smooth and well blended.

Stir in the chocolate chips, vanilla and chopped nuts until they are spread evenly through the batter.

Pour the filling into the unbaked pie shell and spread it level. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.

Let the pie cool completely before you cut it, so the filling sets and the slices hold their shape.
