Herb Bubble Bread
Herb bubble bread is a pull-apart loaf made from small dough balls rolled in a savory seasoning mix. Each ball picks up a coating of paprika, Parmesan, garlic, onion and savory, so every piece you tear off has crust and flavor on all sides. The bread machine does the kneading and first rise, which leaves you only shaping and baking. The same dough also makes rolls, mini loaves or one standard loaf.
Instructions
Put all the dough ingredients into the bread machine pan, with everything at room temperature, 70 to 80°F (21 to 27°C). Set the machine to the dough cycle and let it finish.
While the dough runs, stir the herb mixture together in a small bowl, adding the ingredients in the order they are listed. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Take the finished dough out of the machine and divide it into 12 to 16 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball.
Roll each ball in the herb mixture, then set the balls close together in a greased loaf pan.
Cover the pan with a cloth and leave it in a draft-free spot until the dough has doubled, about 30 minutes.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the top is brown. Oven times vary, so check a little early if your oven runs hot.
