Microwaved Scrambled Egg
Microwaved scrambled egg is a two-ingredient breakfast made in a single coffee cup, with almost nothing to wash up afterward. The method depends on one habit: breaking the yolks before the cup goes in, so they cannot burst under the microwave's heat. A pause halfway through for a stir keeps the curds even. It suits a rushed morning when a frying pan feels like too much effort.
Instructions
Crack the eggs into a coffee cup and add the butter. Break the yolks with a fork so they run into the whites, because an unbroken yolk can burst in the microwave.
Microwave on high power for 30 seconds.
Take the cup out of the microwave, stir the eggs well, and put it back in.
Cook on high for another 30 seconds. The eggs should look set and no longer runny. Microwaves vary in strength, so the timing may need a small adjustment.
