This no-bake chocolate chip cookie pie turns a bag of store-bought cookies into a layered dessert without turning on the oven. Each cookie gets a quick dip in milk, so during the long chill it softens to a cake-like texture beneath the whipped topping. The graham cracker crust keeps things tidy for slicing. It takes about fifteen minutes of assembly, then waits overnight in the fridge for you.

Instructions

Pour the milk into a shallow bowl. Dip 8 cookies in the milk, one at a time, and arrange them in a single layer in the graham cracker crust.

Spread one-third of the thawed whipped topping over the cookie layer.

Dip another 8 cookies in the milk and lay them over the topping, then cover with another third of the whipped topping. Repeat once more with 8 more cookies and the remaining topping, so the pie has three layers of cookies and three of topping.

Crumble 2 of the remaining cookies and scatter the pieces over the top of the pie.

Cover the pie and chill it for 8 hours before serving, so the milk-soaked cookies soften and the layers hold together when sliced.
