Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal
Peanut butter banana oatmeal turns a plain bowl of oats into something creamy and lightly sweet using three pantry staples. The banana is mashed straight into the porridge, so it sweetens and thickens the bowl without any added sugar beyond a little honey. Peanut butter melts into the warm oats and adds richness and a savory edge. It takes 15 minutes and works with rolled or instant oats.
Instructions
Cook the oats in water. Rolled oats take about 10 minutes, while instant oats are ready more quickly. They are done when the oats are soft and the water has been absorbed.
Spoon the cooked oats into a bowl.
Stir in the milk, peanut butter, honey and sliced banana.
Mash everything together with a fork until the banana is broken down and the mixture looks evenly combined.
Drizzle a little more honey over the top and serve while still warm.
