Rosemary Grilled Salmon Steaks
Rosemary Grilled Salmon Steaks is a quick marinated salmon dish cooked over a hot grill. The marinade is only oil, cider vinegar, rosemary and a generous amount of black pepper, so the fish stays the main flavor while the vinegar adds a light tang. Fifteen minutes in the dish and six on the grill is all it takes. Cooking over charcoal or on cedar or alder planks adds a smoky note.
Instructions
Stir the canola oil, apple cider vinegar, rosemary and black pepper together in a dish large enough to hold the fish in one layer.
Put the salmon steaks in the marinade and turn them so every side is coated. Leave them to marinate for 15 minutes.
Heat the grill until it is hot, then lay the steaks on it.
Cook the steaks for 3 minutes on each side. They are done when the flesh turns flaky and separates easily when pressed with a fork.
For extra flavor, grill the steaks over charcoal or on cedar or alder planks.
