Pizza Hot Dogs
Pizza Hot Dogs turn a pack of hot dogs and a jar of sauce into a quick broiled supper that tastes like a pizza slice in a bun. The mozzarella goes down first, so it melts into the bread and keeps the sauce from soaking it through. Parmesan on top browns under the broiler. Everything comes from the pantry and fridge, and it takes one tray.
Instructions
Split the hot dogs and the hot dog buns lengthwise, cutting each one open without cutting all the way through the bun.
Lay the opened buns on a cookie sheet.
Cover the inside of each bun with slices of mozzarella, using the 12 slices across the four buns.
Set a split hot dog on top of the cheese in each bun.
Spoon pizza sauce over the hot dogs and finish with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan.
Put the tray under the broiler. Take it out when the cheese is bubbling and the hot dogs are heated through.
