Teriyaki Grilled Salmon Steaks

Teriyaki salmon steaks cook on a hot grill in under ten minutes, which makes them a quick option for a crowd of five. The marinade is built from soy sauce, honey, plenty of minced ginger and garlic, and it goes on only for the last 2 minutes, so it glazes the fish instead of burning. A heavy hand with black pepper adds a sharp edge to the sweet, salty coating.
Instructions
Heat your grill until it is hot. Season the salmon steaks on both sides with the black pepper.
Stir the canola oil, soy sauce, water, honey, ginger and garlic together in a bowl to make the teriyaki marinade.
Lay the salmon on the hot grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. The fish is done when it turns opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Brush the salmon with the teriyaki marinade during the last 2 minutes of cooking so it forms a glaze. Serve straight from the grill, topped with chopped cilantro, sesame seeds or green onions if you like.
